This was a campaign shoot for the MAV-1 'Flash' – a limited-run version of the original MAV-1 bat with a unique retro look in ultra bright colors. We worked with high school baseball players and shot at Pepperdine University's fields and at a nearby Malibu beach.
I worked closely with Life in a Van Studios to bring their creative brief to life in still photos, while they handled all the video work.
Shot on Film
I dusted off my Canon AE-1 to shoot a portion of this campaign on 35mm film. We wanted to give some of the photos the authentic retro look that only film can provide. I chose Kodak Gold 200 film stock because of it's well-known color saturation that would fit well with the bright-colored bat and the creative brief.
